If anyone can help Alan with the following question please email ben@debden.org.ukI am researching my family tree, and some of my ancestors came from Debden. I see from your gallery your war memorial includes the names of John Saunders and Arthur Charles Graves.
My great grandmother was born in Debden in 1865, her maiden name being Mary Ann Eliza Saunders, and my GGG grandmother was also born in Debden, in 1821, her maiden name being Sarah Graves.
I wondered, therefore, if any of your current residents, particularly the older ones knew of the families of these two men who fell during WW1, and whether they could be my relatives. Possibly you have a Historical Society who could shed some light on the matter for me. Any help you can give me would be most appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation,
Alan Whittaker
