Garden Cottage, situated in the suburb of Debden, is a charming little detached cottage that is surrounded by a private mature garden. Originally it was a head gardeners cottage for the estate and the land. It was refurbished only a few years ago to the highest standard.

The hallway leads to the comfortable sitting room with an open fire space and a large open view from the window, with a DVD player, TV and access to the dining room. The dining room has a lovely dining table and chairs with seating for up to 6 people.

Things To Do in the Area

Close by there is the Great Stone Keep of Hedingham which was built in 1140 by Aubrey De Vere and is one of the best and well known preserved Norman Keeps in Europe. The property is surrounded by gardens and well maintained grounds, it is also a haven for wildlife of all kinds with an abundance of flora and fauna. The village is not too far away from the house but is rich in history and has a few shops just a few minutes away.
There are many antique shops and restaurants, tennis courts and a few gourmet restaurants. Golf courses at Gosfield serves as a driving range on an 18 hole course.
